XTrack Privacy Policy

What XTrack does. When you choose to track an email you send from Gmail, XTrack inserts an invisible 1×1 tracking pixel. When the recipient's email client loads that pixel, XTrack records an "open" event (the time, plus a coarse classification of whether it looks like a genuine open or an automated pre-fetch).

What we store. The tracked message's Gmail thread/message id, recipient, and subject (so we can show you status), and the open events. Each open event records the time and a coarse, approximate location (country, region, and city) derived from the opener's network at the moment of opening. We do not store the raw IP address. Your Google account id and email are used only to sign you in and to scope your data to you.

Email list. If you opt in, we add your email address to our list (via Resend) to send occasional XTrack updates. Every email includes one-click unsubscribe.

What we never do. We never sell or share your data or your recipients' data with third parties for advertising. We never track an email you didn't choose to track. Use the per-message toggle in compose to turn tracking off.

Retention. Open events are pruned after about 12 months.
